Ikuno Suzuki works as an Administrative Programme Associate for the ESD Programme of UNU-IAS. She joined the institute in September 2014 as a temporary staff and started her role as Administrative Programme Associate in April 2015. Before joining UNU-IAS, Ikuno worked in various industries in the private sector, ranging from information, food, finance to travel and tourism, as well as in a couple of public institutions including JICA. She holds BA (Hons) in African studies from University of Birmingham, UK and a master’s degree in African Area Studies from Kyoto University, Japan. Her academic interests include children’s education in Africa and she has lived in Ethiopia to do fieldwork for her master’s degree.
